In Sanskrit “Ayurveda” means “The science of life”. It is a Traditional Medical system which originated in India and is known worldwide for its effectiveness.
His popularity lies in his holistic vision (mind-body-spirit) with emphasis on the study of three biotypes or Doshas; Vata, Pita, Kapha that are formed by the mixture of the 5 elements; Air and Ether (Vata) Fire (Pita), Water and Earth (Kapha)
From the recognition of your Dosha and your own natural tendencies (Prakriti) you can learn through Ayurveda to recognize what activities, habits, attitudes, type of diet, etc. that benefit you more and which can cause imbalance to the organism, placing emphasis on the interaction of the individual with their environment (microcosm related to the macrocosm), seeking to generate healthy habits around said recognition, resulting in the creation of a better lifestyle, sustainable, healthy and holistic.
Ayurvedic Therapy includes:
- Analysis of Biotype or Dosha (Vata, Pita or Kapha)
- Beauty and Massage Therapy (Champi or Abhyanga)
- Advice on Healthy Nutrition (Based on phytotherapy, Naturopathy and the flavours or Rasas of Ayurveda)
- Therapeutic Exercises (adapted from Yoga for each Biotype)
- Aromatherapy, etc.
Knowing Ayurveda gave a sense and solid foundation to everything I learned because it is a complete system that presents a perspective of physical-mental and spiritual health, a mother therapy and a whole world to discover!
