In Sanskrit “Ayurveda” means “The science of life”. It is a Traditional Medical system which originated in India and is known worldwide for its effectiveness.
Its popularity lies in its holistic (mind-body) vision emphasizing the study of three main biotypes (Doshas) that allow the person to stay healthy from the recognition of their own nature, which will give you necessary tools on the activities, habits, attitudes, type of nutrition, etc. that benefit you the most and those that can cause imbalance, finding the nexus in the interaction of the microcosm (the person) with the macrocosm (his environment) for the creation of a better way of life.
- Ayurvedic Therapy may include: Biotype or Dosha (Vata, Pita or Kapha)
- Massage (Champi or Abhyanga)
- Healthy Nutrition Counseling (Based on herbal medicine and Ayurveda flavors)
- Therapeutic Exercises (adapted from Yoga for each Biotype)
Knowing Ayurveda gave a solid sense and basis to everything I learned separately, because it is a complete system that presents a total physical and mental health perspective, which is why it is one of my mother therapies, a whole world to discover!
